Kaya Jumbe
Kaya's role on the team is to help plan the expedition route as well as calculate and reduce its carbon emissions.
A first year PhD student, Kaya studies tropical forest insect communities and is based at the Natural History Museum in London. His role on the team is to help plan the expedition route as well as calculate and reduce its carbon emissions. He is interested in promoting climate positivity by showcasing both local and scalable solutions that are being developed to support sustainable resource use and mitigate the impacts of climate change at various points across the expedition trail.
