Louis is involved in disseminating the outputs of the expedition through graphics to a wider audience
Louis' PhD involves quantifying the growth of a new group of mycorrhizal fungi - the Mucoromycotina fine root endophytes (MFRE). These fungi could be used in the future for engineering agriculture to reduce the use of artificial fertiliers, as well as aiding ecosystem restoration.
Louis is interested in fungal and plant ecosystems, and enjoys going for trips to explore unique fungal and plant biodiversity. He is excited to be part of the Grantham Expedition Team to improve the sustainability of trips like these, whether for research or otherwise.
